Web

Overview

xpna Web is used to view, analyze, and present planning and reporting data in a browser-based workspace experience. A centralized location is provided for interactive dashboards and reusable calculations as well as some administration tasks.

What can be done in Web

The following workflows are supported in xpna Web:

  • Dashboards can be reviewed to monitor key metrics and trends.
  • Widgets can be configured to show cards, grids, charts, and commentary.
  • Calculations can be created to define reusable business logic.
  • Lists can be reviewed by scenario and imported from another scenario.
  • Modelling rules can be configured from list records for scenario-specific planning.
  • Subscription Administration
  • Workspace Administration
    • Connections

Access and permissions

Access to Web features is controlled by workspace permissions:

  • Centralized calculation management is restricted to workspace administrators.
  • Shared resources are applied across the workspace, so changes are reflected for all users.

Note:

It is recommended that centralized calculations and shared dashboard updates are reviewed before publication, because dependent dashboards can be affected.

Core areas

The Web experience is organized into the following core areas:

  • Dashboards: Build and review visual reporting views.
  • Calculations: Manage reusable formulas for dashboard analysis.
  • Lists: Review scenario-scoped list records and import lists from another scenario.
  • Modelling: Configure scenario-specific rules from selected list records.
  • Connections: Manage all your datasource connections
  • Subscription: View and manage your xpna subscription

Suggested next steps

  • Start with Dashboards to review available reporting views.
  • Continue with Calculations to define derived metrics.
  • Use Lists and Modelling when scenario-specific planning records and rules need to be reviewed.
